ABOUT US

VAR Engineering PLLC is a woman-owned company founded in December 2014 by Valerie A. Raymond. The company provides Geotechnical, Special Inspections and Construction Management services. Valerie is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. She earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire where she received the prestigious New York Post Scholarship Award from the Society of American Military Engineers, obtained a certification in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

She worked in the Republic of Haiti for several years in various government, private and philanthropic sector projects, including projects headed by the United States Agency for International Development. Here in the United States, she led projects for the NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDDC, NYCDEP. Valerie is a detail oriented, resourceful engineer whose strong interpersonal and leadership skills have allowed her to successfully work with her colleagues, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on various commercial, residential and government agencies.  Her vision is to exceed her clients’ expectations with quality service.
